# Terms of Service

> The terms that apply to using better tickets in your Discord server.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the better tickets Discord bot ("the bot", "we", "us"). By adding the bot to a server or interacting with its commands, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, if you're a server admin, on behalf of your server.

## The service

better tickets provides Discord ticket management, staff application forms, and jail functionality, configured by server admins through slash commands and interactive menus. Some functionality may be limited by a server's premium tier - see the [FAQ](/docs/faq).

## Eligibility

You must meet Discord's own minimum age and account requirements to use the bot, since it operates entirely within Discord. Server admins are responsible for configuring the bot in line with Discord's [Terms of Service](https://discord.com/terms) and [Community Guidelines](https://discord.com/guidelines).

## Acceptable use

Don't use the bot to violate Discord's rules, harass other users, evade jail or moderation action, or abuse the ticket/application systems (spam applications, exploit bugs to bypass limits, etc.). See [Rules](/docs/legal/rules) for a fuller list. We may restrict or block access to the bot for accounts or servers that violate these Terms.

## Server admin responsibilities

Server admins who configure the bot (roles, categories, questions) are responsible for that configuration and for how their staff use it. We aren't responsible for decisions your staff make using the bot's tools (accepting/denying applications, jailing members, closing tickets).

## Premium tiers

Some features and limits scale with a server's premium tier. Details on tier-gated limits are in the [FAQ](/docs/faq).

## No warranty

The bot is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and functionality may change over time.

## Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the bot, including lost data (tickets, transcripts, or application records) or moderation actions taken through it.

## Termination

We may suspend or terminate the bot's access to your server, or your access to specific features, if we believe these Terms have been violated.

## Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the bot after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

## Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to our [support server](https://discord.gg/z3T7f7KftG) or [support@bettertickets.gg](mailto:support@bettertickets.gg).
