How to find how many Discord servers you're in

By Better Tickets Team · Updated

Discord doesn't show how many servers you've joined: there's no counter in the app, on desktop or mobile. The quickest way to find out is to sign in to the Better Tickets dashboard with Discord. The server list shows your exact count, for example Showing 4 of your 37 servers. The second number is every Discord server you're in. Better Tickets is a free Discord bot for tickets, staff applications, jail and leveling.

Check your server count

1

Open the dashboard

Go to dashboard.bettertickets.gg and click Log in with Discord.

2

Sign in on Discord

Discord shows what Better Tickets can see, including your username and your servers. Click Authorize. You never enter your password on our site.

3

Read the count

Under Your servers, the line Showing X of your Y servers tells you how many servers you're in. Y is your total.

The dashboard only lists the servers you can manage, the ones where you have Manage Server, so the first number is usually smaller. The total counts every server, including ones where you're just a member.

Discord's server limit

When you reach your limit, Discord won't let you join or create another server until you leave one.

Other ways to count

  • Count the server list. Scroll the server icons on the left side of Discord and count them. Folders hide servers inside them, so open each folder as you go.
  • Request your Discord data. In User Settings › Data & Privacy, you can request a copy of your data. It arrives by email, can take a while, and lists every server you're in.

The dashboard is faster than both, and it stays up to date as you join and leave servers.

Is it safe?

Signing in uses Discord's official authorization page. Discord shares your username, avatar, email address, server list, and your nickname and roles in those servers with the dashboard, so it can show which servers you manage. It never gets your password, messages or DMs. You can remove the dashboard's access any time in Discord under User Settings › Authorized Apps.

Frequently asked questions

How do I see how many Discord servers I'm in?

Discord doesn't show the number anywhere. Sign in to dashboard.bettertickets.gg with Discord and the server list shows it, for example "Showing 4 of your 37 servers". The second number is every server you're in.

How many Discord servers can I join?

Free accounts can join up to 100 servers, and Discord Nitro raises the limit to 200. Once you reach your limit you have to leave a server before you can join another.

Does the dashboard need my Discord password?

No. You sign in on Discord's own page and never enter your password on ours. Discord shares your username, email address, server list and your nickname and roles in those servers with the dashboard, but never your password, messages or DMs. You can remove its access any time in Discord under User Settings, Authorized Apps.

Why does the dashboard only list some of my servers?

It lists the servers you can manage, the ones where you have the Manage Server permission. The total next to it still counts every server you're in.
