This quickstart gets a working ticket system into your Discord server in about five minutes: you invite the bot, create a ticket panel in the dashboard, and publish the message members click to open a private ticket. A ticket panel is one kind of request, such as Support or Reports, with its own staff, channels and questions.
If you want the reasoning behind each choice first, read how to set up a ticket system on Discord.
Invite the bot
Invite Better Tickets and open the dashboard. You need Manage Server to manage your server there.
Create a ticket panel
Pick your server and open Tickets → Ticket panels. Click New ticket panel and give it a name such as Support. The name is the one thing you can't change later. Then open Basics.
Choose the support staff roles, the Discord category for new ticket channels, and a private transcript channel. Create any needed roles and channels in Discord first. Add opening questions and other options from the grouped settings. Click Save changes.
Publish your panel
Click Publish panel at the top of the editor. The panel you're editing is selected for you. Choose buttons or a menu, customize the editable starter message, and choose a text channel members can access. Preview the message, then click Send.
Test the ticket flow
Click your panel button as a member. From a staff account, claim and close the ticket to check staff access and transcripts. Return to the editor whenever you need to change its settings.
