Changelog

New features and fixes in the Better Tickets bot and dashboard, newest first.

October 24, 2026 · v1.2.0

Settings in Discord

  • /config changes settings without leaving Discord: /config ticket, /config application, /config jail, /config leveling, /config roleplay and /config staff. Pick a section, use the menus and buttons, and changes save straight away. See Server configuration.
  • Edit ticket and application questions from Discord, five per page, and create or delete your jail from /config jail.
  • Settings are checked exactly like on the dashboard, including your plan's limits, and appear in the dashboard's Logs page.
  • /help now shows how to configure the bot from Discord, and the commands to create and delete panels, forms and jails.
  • Ticket panel, application form and jail names can't contain line breaks, backslashes or other special characters anymore, on the dashboard or in Discord.
  • /ticket send and /application send now post the same panel as the dashboard's Publish panel: pick several panels or forms, buttons or a dropdown menu, a heading, description, footer, image and side color. Starter text is filled in for you.
  • Application forms can't have two questions with the same name and answer type, like ticket panels.

Auto-delete delays

  • Closing with the button or command, leaving the server, and no response each use only their own auto-delete delay. Leave one empty and those tickets are never auto-deleted. Before, an empty leave or no-response delay used the button/command delay.

Staff commands

  • /staff promote, /staff demote and /staff remove move a member up or down one rank, or take them off staff, from Discord. They need Manage Server.
  • Extra roles to remove. Pick up to 5 more roles, like a staff chat role, that are taken away when someone is removed from staff, and while they're on leave. Set them in Staff › Setup › Ranks.
  • Role rules. Like editing roles in Discord, you can only promote, demote or remove someone whose highest role is below yours, and only to ranks below your highest role. This applies on the dashboard too.

Leave roles

  • Staff roles come off during leave. While someone is on leave, the bot takes their staff, reviewer and rank roles away and gives them back when the leave ends.
  • Leave roles. Pick up to 3 roles, like On break, that members get while they're on leave. Set them in Staff › Setup › Strikes & leave.
  • Confirmations before you approve, deny, end or cancel leave on the dashboard.
  • Leave can't overlap with leave that's already booked, and leave requests in the staff channel link to the dashboard.

Staff Hub

  • Where they help. A member's profile shows which ticket panels, jails and application forms they work in.
  • Daily counts. The activity chart shows each day's number, and hovering a bar shows its date.
  • Only show members with a rank. A new setting under Ranks leaves out ticket staff and reviewers who don't hold a rank.
  • Jailed staff show a Jailed status, stay on the team list while jailed and can't be promoted until they're released.
  • Reviews only show for members who review applications, and times under a minute show in seconds.

Dashboard

  • The server list shows how many of your servers are listed: the ones where you have Manage Server.

Fixes

  • Releasing a member from jail keeps roles they were given while jailed, and only takes the jail roles away.
  • Closing a jail ticket gives the member their roles back first. If the bot can't, the ticket stays open instead of closing.
  • Commands and buttons used while the bot is starting up get a short "starting up" reply instead of failing.

Staff Hub

A new Staff section on the dashboard for running your team, included with Plus and Max. See Staff Hub.

  • Team overview: each staff member's claims, closes, time to claim and application reviews for the last 7, 30 or 60 days, with their status: active, quiet, on trial or on leave.
  • Member profiles: activity chart, recent actions, notes and strikes, plus buttons to promote, demote or remove someone from staff.
  • Ranks and trials: ranks tied to roles, trial periods with goals, and promotions that swap the role for you.
  • Alerts: a staff channel message when someone goes quiet, or when a ticket waits too long without being claimed.
  • Weekly report: a summary of the team's week, posted to a channel you pick.
  • Leave: staff ask for time off with /staff leave and end it early with /staff back. Admins approve requests, add leave or end it early on the dashboard.

Dashboard redesign

  • Overview page. Choosing a server now opens an overview with its member count, plan and ticket and application counts, plus shortcuts to every settings page.
  • Consistent pages. Every page has the same header, with its title, a short description and its main actions on the right.
  • Ticket and application editors.
    • Settings are grouped into tiles that open one section at a time.
    • The jail category has its own layout with jail-specific wording.
  • Panel templates. When you publish a panel, you can start from ready-made text for support, reports, appeals, staff recruitment or partnerships.
  • Message settings in dialogs. Ticket and application messages are listed as cards, and each one opens in its own editor.
  • Color picker. Every color field has a swatch that opens Discord's preset colors and a full color picker. You can still type a hex code.

Tickets

  • Separate auto-delete delays. A ticket closed automatically because its author left or never replied can have its own delay before the channel is deleted. Servers that haven't set one keep using the keep-open auto-delete delay.

Applications

  • Submission color. You can set an accent color for the submission message posted in the review channel.

Premium

  • Confirm before moving. Moving premium from another server to this one now asks for confirmation first, because premium features stop working on the server it leaves.

Fixes

  • Variable suggestions in message editors are no longer cut off inside dialogs, and they scroll with the mouse wheel.

October 15, 2026

  • Per-server premium. Each Plus or Max subscription powers one server. The dashboard's Premium page lists your subscriptions, shows where each one is active, and lets you buy, move or manage them. See Premium.
  • Panel sender. Publish a ticket or application panel in two steps: pick the buttons, then write the message and choose a channel, with a live preview.
  • New themes. Choose between Aurora, Ocean, Sunset, Forest, Rose, Gold, Cyber and Black from the palette button in the top bar. Your choice is shared between the dashboard and these docs.
  • New logo for the bot, dashboard and docs.

October 7, 2026

  • Fixed a dashboard crash when the browser's automatic page translation was turned on.

October 1, 2026

  • Premium checkout. Plus and Max can be bought directly from the dashboard.
  • When a server loses Max, the bot's custom nickname, avatar, banner and bio in that server are reset.
  • The user menu shows the email of the account you're signed in with.

September 22, 2026

  • When a ticket setting can't be saved, the error now names the field that failed.
  • Fixed saving a ticket category after one of its channels or categories was deleted in Discord.

September 20, 2026

  • Close behavior. Choose what happens when a ticket closes: keep the channel open for staff, save a transcript and delete it, or just delete it. See Ticket settings.
  • Automation tab.
    • Auto-close tickets whose author never replies.
    • Auto-close tickets when their author leaves the server.
  • Per-message buttons. Choose which buttons appear on the ticket's opening message and on the message posted when a ticket is kept open.

September 4, 2026

  • Panel messages. Send a ticket or application panel straight from the dashboard.

September 3, 2026

  • Statistics charts for tickets and applications.

September 1, 2026

  • Voice support. Ticket channels can show a button that requests a voice channel.
  • Fixed channel permissions for ticket staff.

August 29, 2026

  • Pause a ticket category to stop new tickets while existing ones stay open.
  • Unclaim button for staff who claimed a ticket.
  • Black theme and mobile layout improvements in the dashboard.

August 24, 2026

  • New message builder with text, embeds, images, buttons and menus, and higher limits. See Message builder.

  • Command permissions. Limit which roles and channels can use each command.

August 11, 2026

  • Emoji and sticker stealing. Copy emojis and stickers from messages into your server.
  • More roleplay commands.

August 9, 2026

  • Roleplay commands such as hug, pat, handshake and lick, with custom prefixes.
